# Warpetts

Warpetts on MegaBuild.de – little creatures that eat you and spit you back out somewhere else. Flower networks, Warpett eggs and young Warpetts.

Warpetts are small, horned creatures with a flower on their head. They take you from place to place in your island world – in their own way: **The Warpett eats you, and its partner spits you back out at your destination.**

Which Warpetts belong together is decided by the **flower** they've eaten.

## Your first pair

You have two Warpetts from the start: one on the **airship** and one next to the spawn of your **starting island**. Both wear a Dandelion and are connected. With them, you can travel back and forth between your island and the ship at any time.

## Traveling

Click a Warpett – **right- or left-click**. On **Bedrock**, you sneak next to it.

* The Warpett bites down, everything goes dark for a moment, and then you're there.
* There's a **1.5 second** cooldown between two trips.
* If you're sitting on a horse, in a boat or in a minecart, you can't travel – get off first.

## The flower network

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Hold out a flower

Hold a flower in your main hand out to a Warpett **without a flower** and click it. It eats the flower and from now on belongs to the **network of that flower type**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Connect a partner

Give a second Warpett **the same flower type**. Now both are connected – and the Warpett takes you along right away.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

| Warpetts in the network | A click …                                 |
| ----------------------- | ----------------------------------------- |
| 1                       | tells you that a partner is still missing |
| 2 | takes you straight to the other one |
| 3 or more | takes you to a **random** one of them |

{% hint style="info" %}
**Want to know exactly where you'll land?** Only ever connect **two** Warpetts with the same flower. Every additional one turns the network into a dice roll – there's no destination menu.
{% endhint %}

* There are **26 flower types** – from Dandelion to tulips and Sunflower to Spore Blossom. Each one is its own network.
* Some flowers give the Warpett its own look.
* Warpetts only connect places in **your own island world**, not between different players' islands.

### Switching networks or getting the flower back

| What                    | How                                                                                                                                                                                 |
| ----------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Different network** | Give the Warpett a **different flower**. The old one has been eaten |
| **Get the flower back** | Click the Warpett with **shears** in your main hand. You get the flower back, and the shears wear down just like when you shear sheep. After that, the Warpett eats the next flower |

## Warpett eggs

You find new Warpetts as an **egg** – as loot while exploring.

| Where                      | Roughly how often     |
| -------------------------- | --------------------- |
| Chests and barrels | about one in eleven |
| Suspicious sand and gravel | about one in fourteen |
| Decorated pots | about one in fourteen |

### Hatching

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Place it

Right-click a solid block with the egg. It needs a bit of space around it.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Wait

The egg broods for **10 minutes** – only 5 on **crying obsidian**. It crackles, wobbles and gets more cracks the closer it comes to hatching. The time keeps running even when you're not online.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Hatch

Out comes a **young Warpett** – still without a flower.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

* **Pick it up:** Right-click it with an empty hand. The brooding time starts over the next time you place it.
* **Break it:** Hold the mouse button for one second, and it pops out as an item.
* Putting crying obsidian under it later doesn't help – it has to be there when you place the egg.

## Young Warpetts

A freshly hatched Warpett pads around its spot. Here's how you turn it into a station:

| Click the young Warpett | What happens |
| --------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| with a **lead**                               | It follows you                                             |
| with an **empty hand** while it's on the lead | The lead comes off – **this is its new home** |
| with a **flower** | It settles down right here and joins that flower's network |

If a young Warpett wanders too far or falls off the island, it's right back home. You can only travel with it once it has a flower.

{% hint style="success" %}
**Tip:** Take the young Warpett on a lead to where you want the station – for example to your farm or into a cave – and only give it the flower once you're there.
{% endhint %}

## Who can do what?

Anyone who's on your island can connect Warpetts, swap flowers, snip them off and travel. Only you and your [members](/en/members.md) can get onto your island.
