# Voting

How to vote for MegaBuild.de, what it does and how it lets you support the server for free.

Voting is the easiest way to support MegaBuild.de – it costs nothing and takes less than a minute.

## How to vote

#### Open the vote page

Go to [megabuild.de/vote](https://megabuild.de/vote/) – or type `/vote` in-game to get the link in chat.

#### Enter your name

Enter your Minecraft name – **exactly as it's spelled on the server**, including upper and lower case. A typo is the most common reason a reward doesn't arrive.

#### Vote on the server lists

Confirm your vote on the linked server lists. Usually you can vote **once every 24 hours** per list.

## What does it do?

### For the server

Every vote pushes MegaBuild.de up the server lists and helps us reach new players. More players mean a livelier community and a more active server.

Votes earn you in-game rewards. What exactly they look like in Custom Skyblock will be announced at launch.

**The vote rewards for Custom Skyblock haven't been decided yet.**

The old CityBuild had vote keys, a vote chest at spawn, a VoteStreak system (`/vr`) and a monthly top voter list. Whether and in what form these systems will carry over to Skyblock hasn't been announced yet.

## Frequently asked questions

<summary>I voted but didn't get a reward</summary>

The most common causes:

1. **Misspelled name.** Pay attention to upper and lower case.
2. **The 24 hours aren't up yet.** Usually only one vote per day is possible per list.
3. **You were offline.** Some systems only hand out rewards at your next login.

No. Voting with multiple accounts or getting around the vote limits breaks the [server rules](https://megabuild.de/rules/).

The vote itself is registered on the server lists. Rewards can only be handed out once the server is reachable again.
